| FATE Foundation Concludes This Year's Investment Forum & Business Plan Competition |

FATE Foundation concludes this year’s investment forum and business plan competition amidst a tense competitive environment which saw contestants from the food processing sector dominating this year’s competition.
the Judges awarded an aspiring entrepreneur Mrs. Mgbeoma Kuye, of KADMOS enterprises Nigeria Limited with the best business plan award of the year with a cash prize of N500, 000 and a business class ticket to any European destination courtesy Royal Dutch Airline (KLM). Mr. Ifeanyi Emmene Boniface of ULTIFEM DRUGS LTD came 2nd with N300,000 as prize money and Eugenia Penda of JOSE VENTURES Nig. Ltd came 3rd with N200,000 prize money. The event showcased a two day exhibition of goods and services by 31 FATE alumni.

FATE Foundation Hosted Members of The Press |
On the 13th of February FATE Foundation hosted members of the press community to a media parley lunch to say a big thank you for their support and re-strengthen the foundation’s relationship with the media.
The event witnessed the presentation of the 2007 FATE SME JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR AWARD to Mr. Patrick Siaka-Momoh, an assistant editor with the Business Day newspaper, also the Executive Director of FATE Foundation Mrs. Osayi Alile Oruene used this medium to invite other journalists to participate in the foundation’s annual journalist competition and reiterated the foundation’s commitment to assisting the press community in terms of entrepreneurship development through its annual press workshop titled REPORT YOUR WAY TO WEALTH. Mrs. Oruene further updated the press on FATE’s upcoming events and projects like the FATE on Wheels etc. and first handedly invited the press community to the foundation’s upcoming Investment forum and business plan competition on the 5th and 6th of March.

FATE Emerging Entrepreneurs Programme:
A 9-week programme specifically tailored for ambitious entrepreneurs who want their businesses to be in the lead and dictate the pace for others. Participants meet the following requirements: N10m and above in annual turnover; businesses have existed for at least 5years; staff strength of not less than 10. Ancillary services include corporate excursions that deal with real-life business issues and a class business forum.

FATE ANNUAL PRESS WORKSHOP
With the commitment to impact it media stakeholders, this year’s edition of FATE ANNUAL PRESS WORKSHOP has received great boost as MR John Momoh, CEO CHANNELS TELEVISION and MR LUCKY CLEMENT-OKOOBOH, MD/CEO MILLENNIUM HARVEST, publisher of FINANCIAL STANDARD are scheduled as Guest Speakers during the workshop. This year’s edition entitled “Giving News An Edge” is aimed at showing members of the fourth estate how to harness and make use of entrepreneurial opportunities available in the media industry to help boost their careers and start a business in the long run. This workshop is scheduled for June 24, 2008 at the FATE Foundation office.
This is a strictly Media executive workshop.

FATE Foundation’s interactive Networking session
FATE Foundation organized the first Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme (AEP) Interactive Networking Session for current AEP classes- AEP 26 & 27.
This session entitled “Effective Networking for Business Success” was facilitated by the M.D/CEO of GTBANK MR. TAYO ADERINOKUN on Friday 23rd May, 9:00am at the FATE Foundation office.
The AEP participants learnt about the benefits of Effective Networking for the development of their businesses.
