FATE donors
The Foundation engages in activities at various levels that require support to make an impact:
Adopt an Entrepreneur: The objective of this programme is to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and networks that they require to establish successful businesses. This programme primarily targets individuals who are between 22 and 40 years, have obtained at least a first university degrees and have a high likelihood of business success as demonstrated by their track records. Participants in the programme are expected to prepare a marketable business plan before graduation. It cost FATE N271, 320.76 to train one aspiring entrepreneur per year.
Business Workshops: FATE Foundation creates a series of seminars and workshops every year that cover a wide range of topics. The foundation holds two workshops monthly. The purpose of these seminars is to expose aspiring entrepreneurs to business leaders who have expertise in specific functional and industry areas. It costs the Foundation N300, 000 to hold a workshop.
FATE Impact Report & Newsletter: As part of the foundation's commitments to its stakeholders and to ensure transparency in all its activities, it publishes an impact report and a newsletter annually. The purpose of these publications is two-fold. Firstly, it serves as a resource for information about FATE activities to all its stakeholders, and secondly, as a fundraising tool. As part of the recently developed document on the Donor's Bill of Rights, each donor must be given a periodic report on the specific project that is being funded and the overall performance of the foundation in each financial year. Each publication highlights the donor's contribution. It costs the foundation N1 million to print 1000 copies of its annual impact report and N1, 500, 000 to print 1,500 Newsletters per edition.
FATE Endowment Fund: Since inception, FATE has been committed to becoming a self-sustaining and self-reliant organization. Consequently, the Foundation has set-aside a pool of funds in an endowment. These funds are invested in the capital and money markets, both locally and off-shore.
