FATE FOUNDATION ENTREPRENEUR OF THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY-2010

Kunbi Ogunmuyiwa is the Managing Director of Flourish Nutrition Nigeria Limited, a company that specializes in the importation of agricultural products, animal feed supplement and drugs.

Flourish was established in 2006 after identifying an acute shortage of raw materials for animal feed in Nigeria, as what was available was either adulterated or of low quality. Today, Flourish is the sole importer and distributor for Tithebarn UK products (a manufacturer of animal feed supplements, additives & premixes based in the United Kingdom).

Flourish has also commenced the manufacturing of quality premixes and concentrates in their Ilorin factory and in the last one year, they have established their presence in about seven states of the federation and the products have become household names with cattle farmers in the Northern part of the country and feed millers in the South. 

In 2009 Flourish Nutrition made a turnover of approximately N25 million and they currently provide employment for 10 permanent and contract staff

Kunbi attended the FATE Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme (Class 7) in a bid to set the right tone for taking her business to greater heights. During the programme, she was taught topics like Human Resources, Finance, Business Planning, Operations, Marketing, Negotiation Skills, Business Strategy, Identifying opportunities in the local and international market e.t.c.

Kunbi’s vision for the company is to produce quality feeds and supplements that will make animals healthy and productive with a long life span
